In November a new position for the executive is announced, the group Recruiting Officer. This position was filled by Rick Wassing with this year almost over we set yet another beginning, when two of our Ladies of Harley, Pattie White and Sylvia Greenough decided it’s time for better inter group communication and with issue #1 our newsletter provides to be a good link among friends. A very informative and well edited piece of literature, featuring monthly meeting highlights, upcoming events and much more! The New Year, Jan. 1992 brings Central Chapter N.S. to its 5th anniversary and the hosting of our second Regional Labour Day Rally. Our now fifty-seven members have eight months to put together a weekend of entertainment and fun for approximately three hundred H.O.G. members. Central Chapter N.S. is invited by our South Shore bros to attend the 1st Annual Lighthouse Food Back Run, where we found fun in the sun on the shore and at the same time put food on the plates of those less fortunate than ourselves. Correspondence from H.O.G. Canada says there are 815 registered members in the four Atlantic Provinces and our records state that sixty of them call Central Chapter Nova Scotia home. The annual Run for the Hills event is postponed this year due to group
concentration on our Labour Day Rally. However, a small event consisting
of a Poker Run and an evening of sports, games and camping is in order.
A fine show put on by the group Road Captains with a special thanks
to Dave Frigault and his mother for allowing us to party on her lawn
and grounds. Thanks are also in order to Rob MacDonald for preparation
of the “Breakfast of Champions”. This could become an annual
event known as the Road Captains Romp. |
